Collected from Cioclovina Hateg mountains,Romania.
This is one of the Carpal bones, one of the many bones that help make up the hand, of an Ice age cave bear,living around the same time as woolly Mammoths.
This specimen has come to me as part of the late Steve Sherlock collection.
The bone is loose from matrix and measures 29mm x 18mm.
