Collected from Hamada Gu Guir,Kem Kem basin south of Taouz in Morocco.
This is a perfect small specimen of a rostral peg from the upper jaw or rostrum of a Sawfish
This species was likely to be the part of the diet of the great Spinosaurus Dinosaur
These need to be purchased by a reputable dealer, as the collectors often cut two poor quality specimens and glue together to make one good one! I personally go through these to be sure that is not the case.
The specimen is loose from matrix and measures 17.4mm.
The Rostrum comes in a clear fronted white display case as seen in picture five.
