Pyrgotrochus elongatus (sowerby 1818 )
Beautiful display piece of inferior oolite collected from Sherborne in Dorset UK.This material is really difficult to get hold of now .The piece contains two Pyrgotrochus elongatus gastropods and three Gressyla abducta bivalves with some vestigial wood and a rhynchia on the reverse.
The whole piece measures 111mm x 100mm and comes from the Jurassic Bajocian stage .
