Polished bed of Tympnotus gastropods

Tympnotus ( Ptychopotamides ) praecinctus (Cossman)
From the Eocene,Cuisian.
Collected from Compeigne, Aisne, France.
Silicified limestone containing chocolate coloured Gastropods.
The face side  has been cut and polished to show the internal sections.
And the reverse has been left raw and untouched.
The entire piece measures 93mm x 45mm.
