Super specimen of this weird wedge shaped bivalve often referred to as a sea pen!,
these specimens are difficult to obtain now as the site was closed to collectors.From the lower lias,Jurassic pliensbachian PB1B ,ibex zone and collected some years back from Blockley in the Cotswold's.
The whole piece is loose from matrix and measures 77mm x 44mm .
