From Abingdon, Oxfordshire England.
Complete vertebra from a large ichthyosaur,and the depression for the neural process present,this is a good sized specimen.
Originally the great Richard Owen had named this species Ichthyosaurus trigonalis, before a review that renamed it in 1904.
The vertebra is loose from matrix and measures 75mm x 73mm
