From the Late Cretaceous, Niobrara formation.
Collected from Gove county,Kansas, USA.
A very nice pair of Vertebrae preserved in situ,
loose from Chalk matrix and measuring 38mm x 21mm.
This specimen comes from the Smoky hill chalk and was collected back in the 1980s,
The species had small teeth and was a predatory fish, considered to be closely related to Xiphactinus.
