HUGE Gar fish Ganoid scale

From the Cretaceous,Cenomanian stage.
Collected from Taouz Kem Kem beds,Morocco.
A huge Ganoid scale from a Gar fish,this fish must have attained a huge size!
The species is found in the same beds that the Spinosaurus Dinosaur material is found, and has long been considered likely to be part of the diet of the Dinosaur!
A very pretty scale loose from matrix and measuring 36mm x 15mm.
