From the Late Carboniferous,Pennsylvanian.
Collected from Baltic,Ohio in the USA
A dark grey matrix containing a Proetid Trilobite, with Very nice preservation.
The cephalon has come away from the front of the specimen, during decomposition and has slipped to the right, and is most likely complete as it dips into the matrix.
The matrix has a negative from the Pygidium of another specimen.
The Trilobite measures 17.2mm and including the matrix is 58mm x 33mm
.
